Meishi Street participated in La Rue est a Nous… Tous!(The Streets are Ours!) exhibition(Mar 22, 2008-Apr 6, 2008) corporately organized by Institut pour la Ville en Mouvement (French Dynamic City Foundation), Urban China magazine, Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art and Tongji University in Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art.

Urban China magazine features a co-authored essay Da Zha Lan and Sulukule: Modernity and Its Outcasts in Asia by Ou Ning, Wong Hoy Cheong and Alessandra Cappelletti, which gives a comparative research on two slums in Beijing and Istanbul.

Meishi Street participated in On Cities; maps, cars, people and narratives in the urban environment exhibition in The Swedish Museum of Architecture.

Invited by SOHO China, Ou Ning composed a 13,000-character article, Urbanization and its Confrontation(Chinese version only), discussing the urbanization campaigns and confrontation events coming along in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan area.

The two-year widening construction project of Meishi Street finished on November 18, 2006, which costs  450 millions RMB. It is a north-south-one-way street, total 1078.8 metres, wide 25 metres.
